About Springfield Township's Police Department
Springfield Township's Police Department has several specialized divisions including:
- K-9
- Vice Units
- Detective units
- Traffic-safety
- School resource officers
- Neighborhood bike patrols

Township police officers participate in the regional Drug Abuse Resistance Team (D.A.R.T.) and countywide Special Weapons and Tactics (S.W.A.T.) team. The Police Department also employs civilian personnel in its Records and Communications Division.
In addition to providing law enforcement services, the department conducts programs such as:
