On Sunday, February 8 Springfield Township hosted a "State of the Township Address" at the Grove Banquet Hall. Over 200 residents attended the presentation that addressed Township finances, economic development, neighborhood stability, government services and plans for the future.
Before and after the meeting, residents were encouraged to write their questions down on an index card and turn them in. Several questions that were asked were answered in the informative meeting, however due to time constraints, not all questions were able to be addressed. Upon conclusion of the meeting, every question that was submitted was entered into our system and have now been answered by the Township Trustees and Administrators. The questions appear as they were written and the answers will provide you with a basic understanding. Please take a look at the questions and the responses. As you can imagine, many of the questions do not hold an easy "cut and dry" answer. Many of the issues are complex and are difficult to answer in a single paragraph. If you would like a more thorough explanation of any topic, we encourage you to call the Mike Hinnenkamp, the Township Administrator at 522-1410.
